    Happy Tuesday! We have a few announcements for you guys this week. Please read all the way to the end and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We will be back to our regular schedule on Monday July 5th We have been having some issues with our downstairs neighbors on the back door entrance, due to some strong odor of acetone and acrylic. We are asking you guys to use the front door by Jazzercise. We are able to use the back door if you don't mind the smell, but if you can please use the front door as much as you can.   • Prof. Marcio Santos receives his 6th Degree Black Belt by Master Carlos Machado

    Prof. Marcio Santos, owner and head instructor at Carlos Machado Jiu Jitsu Lake Highlands received his 6th Degree Black Belt on April 10th 2021 from Master Carlos Machado during his affiliate training weekend in front of hundreds of Master Machado students and many of Master Machado's Black Belts. This is no small achievement! Prof. Santos has been on the mats since he was 4 years old, he has been a black belt for over 20 years and a beloved Professor for more than 15 years. Mr. Santos, as his students call him, moved from Rio de Janeiro to New York in 2000, and started teaching alongside his brother Marcos Santos. After coming to Texas for a Machado Camp in 2008 ....

    Many parentsin ourLake Highlands community decided that Home School this year was the way to go, we would like to provide a safe, fun way to keep your kids active, and give them the opportunity to have some person to person interaction in a controled scheduled activity. We already have classes Monday through Thursday starting at 4:30pm and 5:15pm, but we are excited to announce our new added times starting on September 1st.     Hygiene is very important in our school! WASH YOUR GI
    YES..Every time...there is nothing wrong with a person that sweats a lot, you can't help it, we get, but don't go home and leave that sweaty Gi in your bag or your car, it will smell BAD and everyone will notice. Don't be that smelly guy!! HANDS & TOES
    For the love of God, cut your nails! UNDER YOUR GI
    Always wear a rash guard or a shirt under your Gi, trust us, nobody wants your bare chest smashing their face! JUST THE BASICS
    These are definitely NO NO's: Stained Gi, Uncovered wounds, Bad Breath, Jewelry, Ripped Gi, Skin Conditions. Always shower after class to avoid any infection for ....
